1. Your LLC name

Choose a name that meets Florida's requirements. Search the official Sunbiz records, keep alternative names ready and remember that a search is not a reservation or trademark clearance.

2. Principal and mailing addresses

Prepare the LLC's principal street address and mailing address. Filing information can become public in the state record.

3. Registered agent and acceptance

Provide your registered agent's name and Florida street address. A PO box is not a registered office. The agent must accept the appointment with actual authority for the required signature.

4. Authorized people and signatures

Review the people listed and the authority for every signature before submission. If your situation needs legal or tax advice, get it before authorizing the filing.

5. Effective date

Decide whether a permitted effective date is needed and check the current official limits. Do not assume the day you pay a service is the day your LLC is approved.

6. Fees and optional documents

Required state fees are $125: $100 filing plus $25 registered agent designation. An optional certified copy costs $30 and an optional certificate of status costs $5. Those optional items are separate from our formation package.
